Comparative Measurements

Summary

The tests showed that the sections of Warrandyte Road with smooth surface texture asphalt, are 5 to 6 dBA quieter than sections paved with rough-texture asphalt.

  • It is recommended that the sections of rough-texture asphalt be re-surfaced with a quieter asphalt.
