The Tannoy Monitor Gold series was released in 1967 and produced until around
1974. Distinguishing physical features of this model are:
- a gold-pained painted magnet cover
- a cast chassis basket that is finished in a matt-buff colour
- a low-frequency driver surround that is corrugated fibre, treated with
plasticizer
