The brakes are of the side-pull, cable operated
type. The parts are stamped "England", but the maker is unknown. The photo
at the left shows the brake parts, and other sundry components.
Plentiful supplies of new-old-stock Japanese brakes of similar design were available (and extensively used by manufacturers in the 1970's) but I preferred to dismantle and re-plate the existing parts. |
